Sonia Gómez
Sonia Gomez de Toussaint is a Mexican artist who lives and resides in Monterrey Mexico. She graduated from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey with a Degree in Architecture in 2004. She obtained a Certificate in Interior Design at Parsons School of Design in 2006. Studied painting and art at School of Visual Arts and Parsons School of Design. She participated in art workshops such as Strategies and Tools for Self-Promotion for Creators at the Adolfo Prieto School in Monterrey taught by Catalina Restrepo and Research and Critical Reflection for Artists and Cultural Producers taught by Gonzalo Ortega. Her solo exhibitions include Sueños de Libertad, Galeria Piso 36 in Monterrey Nuevo León (2012) and Con la Mirada En at the IMB tower in Monterrey (2009). She participated in group exhibitions such as Al Encuentro a lo Sensible at MARCO in 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015. Imagine and Reinvent at Museo del Centenario in San Pedro Nuevo Leon in 2015. Andares 50 Artistas un Impulso at Centro Cultural Plaza Fatima, San Pedro, Garza Garcia in 2013. La Plastica en Mazatlan at Casa de la Cultura de Mazatlan in 2013. At INSEAD Art Exhibition in Fontainebleau France in 2008. Third Place at Catedra Blanca, Cemex in 2004.
